I saw the orange at the game fair in July. It is a colour that grows on you and indeed does change with light and angles. My wife wants a bright yellow one Shocked thank christ that isn't a choice!

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Stornoway Grey

My dealer's first car is the 'orange' one. That colour has featured prominently in so much of the publicity material and I wasn't impressed. However, having seen the colour in 'the flesh' I was quite surprised how much better it looked. Not the colour of my choice, but quite OK really.

Hi Fiona
I can sense the excitement awaiting collection of your baby on the 7th, which model have you chosen? You said you have chosen the Tango, not seen this one in daylight, what did you think of the Stornaway Grey?
I have decided to collect my car Jan 2/07(model SE)
Dec 7th will soon be here!

Got to disagree on the gear change we covered about 20 miles today on our own and never once had a problem. Took the car a mixture of roads had plenty of gear changes could have changed gears all day it was that good.

Just come back from a test drive and agree gear change is great on the move, my earlier comment was based on a stationary car; however as soon as the car moves the gate across to reverse closes. Never come across that before but its a good feature.

It is a great drive, Will be ordering a TD4 GS just not sure on colour, I've seen a Stornoway Grey in the flesh it looks good, To give an idea of how it looks the Land Rover badge across the front of the bonnet all but disappears because it blends into the grey. I'm stuck between the Stornoway Grey and Zermatt Silver. Salesman says that getting a GS in either colour for mid Jan shouldn't be a problem

Had a good play with the key, couldn't see any problems with that. There is a 'real' key hidden away inside the plastic fob which can be removed for use in emergency. I amused several people as I tried the dog crate in the boot, it fits with about 5mm to spare. which is very good news.

Looking foreward to my drive Saturday, I will then confirm colour, at present like the look of the Stornaway Grey, I feel it suits the car, like the silver but a lot of silver cars about, the grey is different, tomorrow will be the decider

We had all the seats flat and lots of twisting about too Wink But it was just too tall, but I'm going back with another slightly smaller one!

2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Stornoway Grey

I'm going to the Peterborough Marshalls release night event on the 7th, and can't wait. Haven't seen a FL2 since the boat at the Motor Show.

Hope to get a test drive as soon as possible.

Also have a half day LRE booked for Jan 20th, in a TD4.

I already have the colour and model planned, so just then need to work out finance, and I'll be an owner.

Can't wait, I can almost smell it its that close

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Stornoway Grey

Been for my test drive today, cup of coffee on arrival, salesman told me as long as you like on test drive, explained every thing fully, all questions answered with no rush
The drive, I thought it would be good but far exceeded my expectations, quiet, smooth drive, lovely gear box, lots and lots of toys to play with.
I liked the bluetooth telephone connection, salesman said he will connect it for me but looked very simple, liked the navigater, warns of problems and finds a new route, I have used a navigater for some time but this one is magic! I could not believe the extra room inside, no more "mind your head". I have now confirmed my order, Stornaway Grey with Scuba interier, (SE)looks fantastic, not keen on the tan interior and the blue dash that goes with it, my car has the black dash. My garage has 3 black and one tango for sale but I was told most customers of theres are willing to wait for the grey. No discount but agreed to lend me a car if my car not ready for Jan/07. A top class car which will take some beating, the service at the garage great, what more can I say( Hunters Derby )
