Anybody Close to France???

In the wake of the excellent way the forum came together to help a fellow member get parts delivered to his home in the Alps

I am wondering if anybody is near France, there a small vineyard with a cellar in the mountains that has a case of bubbly waiting to be collected under my order name "Chocolate Mouse"

The person would just have to ask for the Fallen Madonna with the big bobbies, Pay some Euro to Rene behind the bar and ship the case to myself in Leeds were I will drink its contents with some Tesco Finest Strawberry's

The forum member will then have a clear mind that he has also helped a fellow member of the forum to drink nice bubbly from France instead of cheap Lidl stuff

Its only a case of 6 magnums

Just thought it was worth a shot at asking Rolling with laughter Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

No problem. Just state exact location of merchandise and when I am next driving to Blighty (no idea when that will be) I'll do it. Consider it delivered to your doorstep.

ps: you'll have to pay Rene direct though as I only carry Swiss Francs or GB Pounds.

Ok I'll see if any offers come in who can pay instead of me, for it as Rene can't work his card machine and it will be cheaper if they do, if not I'm off to ASDA Wink Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Right then, I've just enlisted special agents Frizzle and Ixworth to scratch out the path to your abode: - cobwebs + poor illumination (plus consistent temperature) sounds like the perfect environment for my favourite indulgence (outside of sex, motorbikes, n rock n roll.) Razz

its is quite a good cellar 10 steps deep and the size of my living room 6m x 5m approx. keeps pretty cool all summer and a little damp. quite empty at the moment but has held many bottles in the past. I need another cross channel run to top it up somewhat. At work

I was at Leeds University in the early seventies, takeouts from the bar were limited to 4 pint kegs of Tartan (tricky to open without getting soaked) or bottles of Newcastle Brown. Or you could take your own bottle to the corner shop and get it filled with draft sherry........We all owe huge thanks to Camra for raising the standard...... Upgraded to an ex demo, 7 mth old, Rimini Red/Ebony Napoli Auto HSE on 28th Jan 2011, added roof rails, mudflaps and side strips.
