Highest mileage?

The FL2 / LR2 has been around for 4-5 years now so out of curiosity who has the highest mileage?
Also if anyone has had any major problems with their landy what was it and roughly how many miles had it done? Could be a way of building a picture of when major components are failing, and come in handy for anyone who is looking at buying used.

Nice idea D99. Mine is far too young to have developed any problems other than scratches along the sides and underbody from pushing it offroad.

90,000 coming up in the next day or so at just over 4 years old. I must admit that it is running as well as ever and since the last service (approx 4k miles ago) I haven`t reset the mpg trip which is reading 39.4mpg - as good as it ever has been. Perhaps they just mature well!!!!
I did contemplate changing it at 4 years, but bought extended warranty instead. It was slightly cheaper!! Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly!

thats a few miles!

Its not, mine is though 108000 on my 07 plate HSE, It drives perfect and does approx 38 to gallon

It went for a service yesterday and i asked if there were any problems looming on it and was told its as good as new. By the way I paid £204 for the service from a Land Rover specialist, does anyone think that was a reasonable price for a oil change service?

Mine has done 152k miles.

2007 TD4. Bought in UK as a 3 year old ex company car with 127k on the clock. Now re-registered in France.

Just looking at getting the cambelt changed, and the gearbox, pto and diff oil done at the same time.

Quote from our nearest LR dealer (an hour away) was 1,300 euros - about £1150 at current exchange rates.

I didn't realise it was necessary but they also change the water pump at the same time.

Now getting a quote from a LR specialist (about 2 hours away) but still likely to be around 1,000 euros.

Thats impressive!!!! Thumbs Up

Probably not a requirement to change the pump - it just makes perfect sense as it will be tucked away inside the engine and driven by the belt so it makes sense to replace it as it will be a relativly speaking inexpensive part... same for tensioner's as well, although I know of some people who dont bother.. Freelander 2 TD4 Auto, SE, Narvik Black, Alpaca full leather, Rear Headrest Entertainment System, 6 CD, 18 HSE Wheels, Privicy tints

I'm hoping to run mine to 3 years / 90,000 miles, unless I can get the contract extended, when it'll go to 4 years and 120,000 miles. Glad to hear they've been holding up well.
