That's the trouble with most of these arguaments - they contain some degree of fact.
Your Vegitarian friend was right by the way - auto's are better Rolling Eyes

Global warming or whatever it's called this week (changed the name to suit the new "facts"?) - some will never be convinced, especially bloody minded, selfish, shortsighted, Northerners who live on a hill in a climate known for its changability.

At this point I did type a long load of Censored about the rights of those in the developing world, but deleated it in case someone thought I was getting moderate / reasonable in my old age. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

Good enjoyable links there - and importantly - they help to dispel the myth that small + hybrid must equal environmentally friendly motoring.

A car alone does not achieve that goal - you do - by using whatever you drive astutely until the day dawns when there is a proven practical eco friendly fuel source and vehicle (other than walking or the bicycle) which cancels our dependance upon fossil fuels.

Think I'll spend some time tomorrow polishing the beasts in garage ready for the summer alpine hairpin blasts.

A traffic warden was about to ticket me last week in Coventry, in about the only free spaces in the centre, because the bays were electric cars and hybrids only!!! They have silly metal posts with blue lights on the top at about every cars length to charge the crappy things.

I'm gonna go round ticketing Prius's like the eco mentalists do to 4x4's Very Happy Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

Well I listened to CG et al and have decided to do my bit for the Earths future by not using the caravan on my next holiday and also not driving round in my fuel gobbling eco monster.
Instead I shall fly to Barbados tomorrow and cruise round the Caribbean for two weeks Thumbs Up
