auto S vs manual GS

Currently finding this a very hard decision. driven both boxes and like them both but cannot for the life of me decide which one to go for! both 55,000 miles and same price. I guess ultimately I'm the only one that can make a decision!!!I'm thinking the auto may hold its value more than the manual, what do people reckon?

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Manual Stornoway Grey

I had a similar dilemma Embarassed My wife wanted an Auto and I wanted a Manual. Managed to persuade her that the fuel econmy was better on the Manual Smile

However, the final decision rest with you.

I drive Auto and I wouldn't change it for a manual. I haven't driven a FL2 manual but the auto is nothing like the old auto's I hated back then as well.

However it comes down to which spec is better for you. 2010 Freelander 2 Select TD4 auto....gone
2011 Freelander 2 TD4 auto ...current

Scotland 2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e HSE Manual Lago Grey

totally a personal choice..........do you like to change gear ? do you like to be in control ? do you like to be able to feel the torque ?

I had this choice last year and decided to go for the manual as I still enjoy driving, and felt the auto would take a lot of that away.

I may look at an auto in 10 years time !!

the manual gearbox is superb and a pleasure to operate, but as I said it's a real individual choice.

We had a HSE with the Auto box in as a courtesy car whilst our manual was off the road and was really impressed with the Auto, so much that the next one we have will very likely be an Auto, will just need to convince swmbo muttering on about being in control Rolling Eyes p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior
