What a difference the FL2 is compared to the Defender.

No, I moved from the UK to France and didn't need a car at that time.

Cheers Thumbs Up

Love my E91 but having been unintentionally "housebound" during the last two winters (BMW rearwheel drive Big Cry ) I need something that is going to be able to get me out of the village!

Looked at X3, (ahem Rolling with laughter) Q5 (too pricey Shocked ), A4 Allroad (nice idea poorly implemented Rolling Eyes), XC60 and XC70 ( Censored ) discounted various others Mitsubishi Outlander, Honda CRV, Toyota RAV4 - only left the Freely... Mr. Green

Time will tell...

Wales 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Mauritius Blue

Interesting thread, so thought I'd add my input

Roughly in order I think (and cars I've owned personally rather than family cars I had the use of)

- 2A 88 Truck cab 2286cc Petrol - used as daily transport and as an RTV trialler - now been rebuild with a galvanized chassis for trials retirement and still in the family (dad/brother)
- TDI 90 Hard Top (with windows) - similar use as the 2A - also still owned though perhaps not for much longer as not getting the use any longer.
- 2006 Kia Rio CRDi - to save the daily wear and tear on the 90 - gone (2011)
- Bowler Tomcat 88 - one with a full series soft top and an injected 3.5 (3.9 system on it) used for CCV and Time trials and I am told I'm not allowed to sell even though it's not getting any use these days, it will one day though Smile
- Hyundai i30 CRDI - sill have this, bought to replace the Kia and now done some 87000 miles (19 miles on it when picked up as a per reg)
- Freelander 2 XS SD4 - the newest toy.

Not really that long as list, never been one to change vehicles that often, nor to get rid of vehicles it would seem!

Not sure I can remember all of mine.
Mini Van (Yellow with a black bonnet) Mildred. Went to Germany and never made it back.
Opel Kadet. Just about made it back from Germany.
Bedford Utilabrake. Bertha. Had the wrong back axle, so spent most of its time at very high revs.
Gets a bit hazy after that -
Austin Cambridge
Wolseley 16/60
Morris Oxford
Marina 1800
Triumph Sodomite 1500 Auto
LR Series 3 -ex AA and you could see the yellow paint under the scratches
Rover SD1 Mk2 straight six auto. My favourite, although the windscreen kept trying to fall out.
Freight Rover Sherpa with curtains and a mattress in back. My first ever new car.
Nissan Cherry bought for wife as she wouldn't drive the Sherpa. Served her right.
Jeep Cherokee 4 litre
Disco 300. Worst car ever
FL1 on a lease
Disco 200
Disco 2. Sold and exported to France
FL2
FL2 SD4
DS
There may be more that I've forgotten. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease
200TDi Disco (bought from a mate with 100,000 on the clock) - Gone
Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France
FR2 TD4 GS - Gone
FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS
New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white
Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.
