now are you sure using the word 'stealth' is correct Question you wouldn't want to use the incorrect terminology for the old chap not been able to afford the fuel as no implication that it due to tax has been made whether it's in plain sight or underhanded taxation on fuel. Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Santorini Black

the poor old boy also has a full sized camper van, two boats and a caravan ( which he used to store in my barn). happily he has now left the village and my sister (non-vaner) bought his house.
He tows his stuff with a mitsubishi after the wowful reliability of the disco 2 he had before...auto box problems mainly. his other car is a diahatsu the size of a postage stamp..it goes on a trailer behind the camper.

what this has to do with showroom tax I do not know?

I read today that some govt minister announced that the real cost of motoring has fallen over the last decade...yeah right Rolling Eyes I think it was in comparison to public transport , so that much maybe true?
Not that I get a lot of public transport opportunities in rural N Yorks. I would have to drive three miles to the nearest bus stop then wait for 3 days for a knackered old bus to chug along Confused At work

Thumbs Up No problem my pleasure!

I'm fairly certain the figures will remain the same, however I'll keep you posted. Hopefully this thread will save someone somewhere a few quid (regardless of what make model they buy), by pulling their purchase forward to March.

James Thumbs Up
