You're probably very close with everything you said in your post - except the name. "COMPACT" - never ever.

That's the current working title - they've got a year to come up with something more imaginative - let's see.

Good one Lar Thumbs Up I don't know if they are new but I haven't seen them. On the body they've fattened out the arches, bigger rims (20''???) and by the look of it chopped 30cm off from the back doors backwards - So in the boot/trunk/tailgate/hatch (Don't want to call it the wrong name Laughing ) you'll just have room for an umbrella OR a warning triangle...but not both Rolling with laughter

That's just a powertrain mule, not the finished body.

Like Martin said, its a powertrain mule for testing engines, transmission and all the goodies we hope not to see too often. Its probably packed with electronics and monitoring equipment and is worth millions. I appear to be addicted to Landrovers...

TD5 D-Lander hopefully finished soon!
FL2....this year with any luck!

No door handles - so not the production version. Still very cool though.

LR's website has a video about it in their future vehicles section. It also shows it with a Freelander silhouette behind it.

It's going to be part of the range rover brand. Few reasons I know this, one of my lecturers is recently ex LR and worked on teh final thing, 2nd, go onto land rovers website. On the home screen there's 2 sections, Range Rover and Land Rover, with a nice space for another car in the Range Rover part!

Also LR engineers and Designers were here recently giving us a project, so they got a grilling Very Happy Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35
