a service cost

Car is with Team Valley for the A service and all filters + Oil replacement.
Cost was quoted as £485. Do you think it's reasonable? I am not sure it was this much last time.

The A service does not include the fuel filter.

I wonder how much they'd charge for a B service as its the fuel filter that takes time ?

The full B service kit is £60. So to me thats a lot of labour cost for something that would take about me about 90 mins to do. Jules

I am sorry it should be a B service then.
During the last 4 services from Team valley they have always changed the fuel filter each service and because I travel to Spain a lot so for the peace of mind they said.
Service kit and oil cost around £120 so the rest is labour ie £360 that seems a lot to me.

have you checked out the LR offer of freelander servicing for cars over 3 years old? I know that some LR dealers are still offering it. You have to ask for it though.

https://www.helstongarages.co.uk/land-rove...rs/3-plus/ quoting A service £275, B service £390 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

Thank YB!
The 9th service costs £420 including timing bell and pump. I think I am driving 200 miles to get this done. Bookmarked their site for future.

To be fair after calling dealer prices around, Team Valley price came down from £485 to £ 414 . In theory the dealer service prices would have to be higher to support their sale staff where as Team Valley or Matling don't so that is why their prices are competitive. But I noticed lately that TV service price have gone up and that is not good considering their loan cars are those cheapies small run around.

They loose sight of reality, the North East is not a rich area and Indies need to be well under stealers rates, if not they will loose the base customer and end up Censored creek (the Tyne). FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

The phone greeting suggests that they have update facilities with Land Rover but just ask them to confirm it. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
