United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Orkney Grey

Well the plan to simply bolt in fog lights is a no go, there are no mounting brackets behind the blanks on my GS Censored

So do these clip onto the rear of the bumper?, or is it a totally different moulding if you dont have factory fit lights?

Working from memory
the brackets are welded to the bumper - ie the tabs on the bumper pass through the brackets and are melted to prevent them pulling through. One good knock on the fog lights and the tabs break. You have the option at this point, do you replace the bumper (and have the new one sprayed the right colour), or do you buy a tube of sikoflex and bond the bracket to the bumper.
I know what I did, and they were still solid years later. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

I still havent given up on the idea!
Anyone got a part number for these? The bonding on with sikaflex seems like a reasonable proposition to me. Thumbs Up Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Anyone?
Or any idea where I could buy them secondhand, without them being attached to a full bumper? Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

I had exactly the same problem as you when I wanted to fit them to my 2013 Freelander, couldn't find a pair anywhere. I rang around breakers yards and found one that had a damaged front bumper. I bought the the whole assemblies, fog lights, bezels and rear mounting cowels. They cut up the bumper and posted me the fog lights still fitted to the bumper sections. Very easy to remove the mounting cowels and fit onto my bumper with a soldering iron to heat up the tabs.

Worth a try, worked for me MY13 TD4 Black and White manual - Gone

Yep seen those. I can find the lamps and outer bezels easily enough. It's the lamp mounting plinths or pods that I can't find at the minute. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
