SSM39291 hot soak update, what gets changed?

Hi folks. As above really, what code gets changed by the hot soak software update?
Does it substitute in different values for a reading, or does it tell the ECU that it can safely ignore a value of 'X' etc to allow a restart etc?? Thanks.
