2014 Freelander 2 2.0T SE Auto Fuji White

07-10 Bull Bar on 2013

I'm moving to Queensland. Conscious of Roo's and feral animals.
I can't find anywhere whether this ‘bull bar’ will fit.

Have contacted the seller who said they can't guarantee it.

Does anyone know? I'm assuming this would bolt where the engine shield/plate is.. therefore the only difference would be the profile of the 07 bumper.

2015 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Aintree Green

1. Will offer little or no protection from hitting a Roo (best advise is to make sure you end your days driving well before dusk, I had no problem using this method when crossing AU).
2. Front PDC will not work with this nudge bar.
3. Petrol and diesel bumper profiles are different aswell as pre & post MY13. MY15

A few decades ago I spoke to a truck driver in the outback, what happened to your bull bar, still to this day it would have been one of the heaviest bull bars I have seen. He hit a kangaroo. The kangaroo was turned to minced meat but in the process the bull bar was a mess including a small portion of the truck.

The airbags being allowed to deploy correctly will be of more benefit.

Last year in the back of NSW we didn't drive at dusk or night, except on a few occasions in National Parks coming back late from a few walks, 20 - 30 km/h maximum speed due to the number of kangaroos with all the green grass everywhere.

In a previous life I was in the aluminium industry for a few decades. Aluminium is a lot stronger that it is given credit for, but needs to be engineered properly. I also supplied aluminium to a major bull bar manufacturer. The problem you also have with bull bars is connection to the rest of the car & the car as a whole! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
