signature DRL Bulb Replacement

noticed this morning that one of my DRL side lights on my HSE Lux is not working, so I don't have the round LED light or the strip

Is this a bulb replacement or built in the headlight? Can see anything in the manual about them Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Think it's a new headlight mate! Is the car still in warranty? There maybe a specialist in your area that could replace it for saves you buying a new headlight. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm incorrect Thumbs Up MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

just been out to double check and it appears to be back working Thud

But this morning it was not working, only the xenon came on as I was sat looking at the reflection in the office window

so I now, it looks to be intermittent and the LR computer will say NO Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

may seem a daft question but when the DRL and signature are working normally, if you indicate do the lights dim down so the indicator is more visible ?

reason I ask is that some cars, (ive not tried it on FL2 to be fair) if you park up and the indicator stalk is down then rear and front sidelights stay on on the opposite side to the indicator. They used to be called parking lights, so if you pulled over at night (n/s indicator) and left the stalk down, then the o/s rear and front sidelight stayed on so traffic could see you.

was the indicator stalk left down this morning, which switched off the strip/DRL ?

DRL's are off on main beam unless your CCF has been altered. But your signatures should have been on bit be careful as from some angles it can be hard to see.
If the DRL's have failed then a DTC will be logged at a mileage and date.
Be best to go in to dealer immediately as the DTC may clear if the fault is intermittent. From my understanding a couple of ignition cycles will be enough to clear the DTC unless the fault reoccurres. MY15

I think, I may be wrong, but when in 'P' the lights are off, the DRL only come on when you select a gear, I know you only said one side but thought I would chuck this in, also worth checking if the indicator stalk was in L or R position, not sure it does on the FL but my previous car, Merc, the indicator stalk could be used to turn one sidelight on as RogB said.

On the manual version the DRLs are on as soon as the engines running whether stopped or moving or in gear, one or the other goes out when indicating and both go out when the hazards are on but the signature strips stay on.
Not checked if they go out when you select reverse though, dont think they do?

I think the round DRLs are rather too bright too in the interim period between dusk and darkness when folk still seem to think its ok to drive without the headlights and no rear lights.

I hadn't used the indicators or put the hand brake on and when I noticed the difference in reflection I did cycle through the auto on off and indicate to see no difference from what it was doing, so I switched off and went to look at myself in the mirror Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

As stated above on manual vehicles the DRL's are on once the vehicle is started which is the way it should be! If the car is in reverse then they still remain on.

The DRL's only extinguish if you have the indicator or hazard lights on.
