United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Santorini Black

I have Goodyear Efficientgrip SUV which are also M+S. They've done 30K miles so far and still got 4.5mm of tread! Been the best set of tyres I've ever bought! And Kwik Fit got them for £95 a corner fitted!

Australia 2015 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Aintree Green

I've got to say I will be staying with the Conti's. They are a premium tyre and road holding in dry and wet is first class. I am in Australia and don't do much mud or slippery grass which I would say is the Conti's down side. The NVH is also impressive for tyre construction type/speed rating, saying this, they should be, they're bloody expensive! Shocked
Evoque had Goodyear efficient grip, all I can say is they need to be cheap (sorry chatuge), far too sip'd tyre for Australian conditions. Only positive was tyre noise, apart from that the Conti is far superior.
Mav, having known you on here for a little while I'd say you'd be disappointed with anything other than Pirelli's or Conti's. Michelin also a strong contender, I'm a little bias, not saying why, you can guess, it's the premium pick along with Conti! MY15

They're a summer tyre with ability to cope with bit of light snow. Yes they wouldn't be great in Oz tho Wink

I had the scorpion verde all season on my 19's and found them really good... Not a quiet as the michelins that are on your 20's but I will be replacing the michelins with them when needed...

I couldn't make up my mind about Pirelli's, so I have paid a little extra and had Continental Cross Contact UHP's like the original fitment.

£141 each fitted which isn't to bad. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Sensible choice and a very good price indeed! Even though its summer alloys you cannot beat an M+S tyre for grip and performance. With our summers you still see the odd drizzle! Conti's tend to be a bit more of a track based tyre and are a softer compound for grip. The sides tend to wear out more if cornering hard due to the flex again for better handling. For a larger alloy like my 22s they are a good set up as the ride is not that different to the 19s I would say on a smooth surface or a cobbled street. If your racing over pot holes or speed bumps then yes the ride is harder. Added bonus which I realised after purchase was that my 22s are indeed M+S.

Had the tyres fitted to the new rims today. Due to a cock up at Continental, I managed to get the Cross Contact UHPe for the same price as the UHP's.

So all fitted and happy! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........
