United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Santorini Black

FORD Sierra 1.6 [1996] - 1st car, white with alloys and used to spin it around without even trying!
FORD Escort 1.6 [2000] - lovely heated windscreen - not much else to note
BMW 318 [2001] - red interior and was like a speed machine compared to the previous Fords
MERCEDES C220 [2003] - like a boat - felt like someone was driving your sofa for you with you on it
LEXUS IS200 Sport Auto [2004] - Fantastic car and I'd have another back tomorrow, fast agile and well equipped
TOYOTA RAV4 [2005] - first 4x4 loved it but hankered for more speed
HYUNDAI Coupe SIII [2007] - A beast, I spent a fortune tuning this one till the wife put her foot down and 3 kids turned up!
TOYOTA RAV4 [2007+] - back to sensible but newer model with all the toys
ALFA ROMEO 159 Ti 1.9 [2009] - couldn't resist this after watching 007 get chased by it - fast, agile and turned heads
LAND ROVER Freelander 2 SE [2008] - love the car but really wanted an automatic and slowly morphing into the HSE spec I wanted!

The only marques I'd buy again are LEXUS, LR AND ALFA ROMEO as they all just had 'something' about them.

Not sure I can remember all the non-LR ones.
Learnt to drive on my dad's A40 Somerset, passed test on a Triumph Herald.
Then my own cars:
Minivan
Opel Kadett
Bedford Utilabrake
Austin A60
Morris Oxford
Wolseley 16/60
Marina 1800
all the above driven to destruction and scrapped, then
Dolomite 1500 auto
My first LR - Series 3 LWB Safari
Rover SD1
Freight-Rover Sherpa
Jeep Cherokee
Then a succession of LR products - see below!
The SD4 is the best (and fastest!) so far. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease
200TDi Disco (bought from a mate with 100,000 on the clock) - Gone
Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France
FR2 TD4 GS - Gone
FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS
New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white
Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.

String of the usual cars over the last 40 years but the one that stood out for me was the Citroen XM 2.0 Turbo petrol, I had three as company cars. This was Citroen's attempt to enter the executive cruiser market. Brilliant car, active self leveling suspension that floated along on straight roads but tightened up on cornering. Very French. Whole thing was let down by the dealer network that was completely out of their depth dealing with something like this in the 90's.

My other love was my 2 litre Capri. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto
Now Discovery Sport P250 MHEV SE
