United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Indus Silver

Hi BisonRob

Don't fret, I think the point was that your first post was recommending a product. Can sometimes be an indicator of someone trying to get a bit of free advertising on a forum.

Do you have any pics of them installed on your car? It would be good to see them in situ.

No just didnt get what they were trying to say, lot more sensible to to say out right rather than innuendos

I was just responding as there are plenty asking what they are like and as i fitted them i thought i would reply. no photos so far as they were only fitted a week ago.

Thanks
Rob

Hi Rob
Don't worry, you are most welcome here Thumbs Up

My post was aimed at CG, don't worry about him, he's an acquired taste, as was said, we do get people coming along and recommending products in a first post, if we suspect it is a sales pitch, we keep an eye on it, or pull it.
We have a few tricks up our sleeves that we can use to determine whether or not something is amiss, in your case, I could see nothing to suspect it was, hence my comment.

You are right to sit tight and not react, there is a lot of 'banter' at times, some don't mind others do and we try to strike a balance.

Looking forward to you sticking around and getting some pictures posted for others to see Thumbs Up

Paul

Thanks Paul,

I hope to get some pictures shortly.

I have had my freelander since new 10 year now and all work has been done by myself from servicing to quite a few repairs unfortunately, previously had a Range rover classic that proved to be far more reliable than the FL but then it is basically a Ford Volvo Cross breed.

Even so I love it and it tows like a train.

Rob

An old thread I know but just to get it back on track I've recently purchased a pair of the LED lights from PowerfulUK and am very pleased with them, plus great customer service from them as well. Plug and play with no messing about with resistors etc. and no error messages.

I don’t like the light set up when the lights are on. But it does look pretty smart with no coloured lenses. Very different indeed.

looking at the light it does appear to be the FL2 shape. the top left has a 45 deg angle. The RRS is more or less straight at that specific point.

My mate got a set of LED lights for a 2006 STI from china. Within a month the have 500ml of water in them Laughing

Tbh Westy I would never remove the genuine facelift rear lights and fit the powerful ones for two reasons ...

1. Genuine are a far better quality
2. People will think you have a pre facelift car with facelifted front lights.

Just my thoughts however Thumbs Up MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior
