welcome to the forum everyone,

Rnlisg - if you want to tow with the FL2 you would be better off going for an auto, much more suited to towing/off road and much stronger clutch set up than the manual. (for interest my 2010 HSE Auto 84k went for around £11.5k in the summer)

Hi all I have a freelander 2 hse auto absolutely love the car fits everything we need a car to do I was a service manager at a land rover dealer so a little biased towards the brand I have a problem that none of my old friends can help with I have a deep vibration when driving at between 1750-2200 rpm if I put into neutral noise goes so on drivetrain but finding it really hard to pinpoint I remember doing a gearbox oil change on a sport for a similar issue but not the same any ideas anyone? Many thanks Alex

Easy as you are a ex LR service manager. Check for fault codes and if none found drive away home and come back to the forum if it gets any worse Rolling with laughter FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

No fault codes logged really weird as only at that rev range at any speed thought about rear diff but wouldn't it be constant?

The rear diff would be constant and proportionate to road speed, I've just spent a lot of money replacing one Big Cry 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

There is a front "transfer" box, these fail.
Again should be proportional to road speed rather than engine revs.

Auto gearbox is fairly long lived - could it be an engine mount failing? would shift under load, and then resonate at specific frequencies. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
