Hi all just checking in having recently purchased a 2009 TD4 GS manual in Galway Green. I have previously owned land rovers series 2A, series 3 long and short wheel base , a 90 and a 110 county plus an early RR classic back in the 1980's. I have been away from the green oval for 11 years for one reason and another and debated long and hard between a Discovery 3 and a freelander 2 but decided that for my uses the freelander was a better option and this was backed by the all important Mrs vote and the teenagers. So no doubt I will plague with the forum with stupid questions from time to time and look forward to witty banter and copious amounts of help. Cheers Mike.

Proud new owner of a 2011 fl2, first land rover I've owned in 40 years of driving and 30 years of towing a caravan. Just taken early retirement with my wife and so far since March this year we have had 64 nights in the caravan in England with plenty more to come.

Hello there guys and girls. Hope all are well. My name is Neil, I am relatively new to freelander ownership but an old hand at landrovers. I have never been without a landrover from 16 years old in one form or another. My freelander 2 is a 2007 HSE, on the whole its a really nice motor, I use it to tow my caravan round and my other half uses it to get to work. I hope to be able to pick your brains from time to time on any freelander issues. In return I am well versed in most things mechanical, from machining skills to welding and most things in between, so if I can be of any use to anyone then please feel free to pick my brains.

I bought my freelander 2 2010 XS a couple of weeks ago after only having discoveries.

I am here, you guessed it, its broke! :O currently waiting for garage.

But anyway hopefully I will find some other interesting things to read whilst Im here .

My daughter just purchased a Freelander 2 (LR2 here in the colonies) and I'll be helping her with upkeep.

The forum has already proven valuable as her alarm started to go off randomly, and I remembered reading a thread here about the bonnet latch switch failing and setting it off. Sure enough, that was the culprit.

Am normally a resident on the Defender 2 site but am on the hunt for a Freebie 2 seeing as we have had all of LR models bar this one lol!

Afternoon all, wanted to check in and say hi to everyone. New to freelander ownership but been using 110, defenders and wolfs with work for the past twenty years.
A big thank you to the guys who posted various mods and repair guides I have used a good few of them already and only been owner for 6 weeks.
