Juddering wiper blades were a known fault on early VW Touaregs, mine included. Found to be insufficient spring strength on the wiper arms not pressing the blades on the screen hard enough. Updated arms cured the problem in that instance. Could be the same with you perhaps?

I recently bought some bosh wiper blades which made a huge difference, but then again it wasn't because of wiper shudder Ex 2010 Freelander2 GS-e Diesel manual Silver owner

Screen wash helps for 5-10 mins, then it slowly gets worse and worse, then it's painful!!

Might be due to the angle of attack of the blade to the screen, sometimes checking that the wiper arm where the blade attaches is square to the screen can help and giving it a slight tweek if its not?

check angle as mentioned and alter by wrapping flat part of wiper arm in cloth and twisting with pliers.

or fit wipers from opie oils,

do not use rainx type products they dont suit fl2, been there done that never again At work

Cheers CG, will try altering the angle of the dangle! Is it the actual arm I twist?

Any ideas how to remove my repel rainguard?! 2013 FL2 - Black Edition Auto

Yes it's the actual arm, it cured a bad case of judder on my old Xtrail even with new OM blades.

Try white vinegar, that should remove it.

Never found coatings on the windscreen to be a benefit as they either streak unless your wipers are new or they judder

DW might be a good source for ideas removing repel?

Il have a play with twisting the arm one way or another. They are new wipers anyway.

The drivers wiper is fine, it's the nearside that's always caused the issue. 2013 FL2 - Black Edition Auto

Rainex and Freelander 2 do not go together, its been mentioned a few times on here, could possibly be due to the type of Blade, I have heard from others that have the newer style blade and this happens but not it seems with the original old style blade Confused p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Out of interest - why ?

PS Jimski - should this not be under LR warranty considering how long you've had it ? Terran

I changed because of the judder, but....the one constant is my rainex screen wash. That's been cycled through now twice with normal blue screen wash on the way to work this morning,

Just got home so I'm going to vinegar clean the blades and screen now thoroughly and just slightly tweak the angle of the near side.

I 'think' this should solve the issue Thumbs Up 2013 FL2 - Black Edition Auto
