The past week has seen a mixture of journeys (but no motorways) and I've used a full tank. Just filled up, after 559 miles, with 69 litres of Tescos best, which calculates to 36.9 mpg; I'm very pleased with that.

Confused and according to the specs the capacity of the fuel tank is only 68 litres
did you keep the engine running when filling up avtur ? Whistle

over 600 miles....just

Filled up a couple of days ago with the trip sitting at 602 miles, put in 67 litres (of Tesco's uncontaminated best !!! ) which works out to 40.9 mpg for the tankful, I'm going say I'm OK with that.

I am averaging no more than 30 mph according to the computer - which is probably right because I am only doing local runs - no motorway driving. Reads 29.5 mpg. Calculation after last refill agreed exactly with that.

It does try to be more economical when I travel at higher speed for long enough. I've even seen 33 mpg at one time (!)

However, I'm sure if I sat at 70 in sixth for long enough I would see 37 mpg.

I don't believe it !!!!

This car continues to amaze me, apart from the 'million dollar' feeling every time I sit behind the wheel.

I've just returned from a work's 'road trip', according to the computer I've covered 438 miles and averaged 45.9mpg !!! how pleased am I with that result ? I got to 400 miles when the fuel needle was on half! The trip was 60% m'way and 40% A road.

OK I'm not driving like a lunatic in lane 3 all the time, but I'm making good progress on all my journeys, enjoying the drive, the radio/cd and the aircon comfort. WOW!

Very pleased ....

Here are the headline figures to date ...

5758 miles: 689 litres (almost all of which from Tesco) = 38.0 mpg.

That'll do nicely !!! Very Happy

And Gordon Stalin Brown wants to class you in with the Gas Guzzlers....................... I'm getting 32.8mpg on long runs (Scotland to Lymington and back) in my RRS Tdv6 sat at 70 where I can and using the cruise and climate control too. I can do the run south on 2/3rds of the 85 ltr tank! How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?

on the cars first journey, fully loaded - 3 kids - luggage for 5 days the fuel computer indicated around 32.2 mpg heading up the M6 to Scotland. This was against a Northerley wind so I was not too concerned. Filled to brim in Glasgow, drove to Dundee, back to Edinburgh, up to Aberdeen..... Braemar (see pics) On filling up and recording the mileage V gallons purchased I discovered the average mpg to be 39.8 Very Happy very impressed all round. 1300 miles on clock Thumbs Up
