United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey
Made a Purchase today!

Bought a set of 20" Evoque Dynamic alloys and tyres. They were taken off a new Evoque at a dealers for 22's!

Just waiting for the 2013MY Land Rover centre caps to turn up, then they will all be fitted on Friday!

As a result, my shadow chromes are now in the 'For Sale' section.

I hope they will look OK! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

There is a Freelander 2 GS that had them on and it looked awful! But hopefully mine will look a little better.

I just wanted a change as I have had the Shadow chromes on for over four years now! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

The GS pics have gone, the tyre profile was too small IMHO

The fortunate thing, is that if they don't look right, I will for sure get my money back on them! But I think they will look OK! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Think I'd rather have 17'' wheels.
No kerb damage, more grip in bad weather.
Don't want my FL2 looking a ridiculous X5 Whistle Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Sooo, why will 17's give more grip in bad weather? Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

The lower the profile, the worse the grip in snow/slush.
Skinny tyres are much better in bad weather.

Yes I understand that, but I very much doubt going from a 235 to a 245 is going make that much difference! Also, are the 17's not also 235 in width?

But you could argue, that the Michelin tyres on the new wheels are alot softer than the Continental tyres on my 19's. We all know softer tyres work better in cold weather than harder tyres.

Everything is a compromise when you start changing things on cars. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........
