Without being anal I've noticed my drivers side rubber mat is wearing away! I know this is a common issue and a bit of a disgrace as the car is only 7 months old! Our rubber mats in our other much older LR's have have hardly any wear my decade old FL1 mats are like new when washed

Clearly JLR are using much cheaper materials

Wear and tear
I have my old mats and still use the drivers one in my new car on top of the carpet mats, no sign of a hole and those who know me will vouch I ain't exactly dainty
It will come down largely to footwear to, 90% of the time I have these on, the heels are rounded and not sharp like my 'posh' shoes.

Always had a small 'heel' mat in my cars to prevent driver's heel wear / holes in carpets and rubber mats. They didn't cost a lot from Halfords and do the job well but they don't seem to be available any more.

I need new ones for both my FL and my Leon.

I wore a hole in th edrivers door mat on our last FL1 - it took over 2 years, but they were still replaced under warranty.

something about the warranty on spare parts - no one mentioned wear and tear, then again the dealers in Stockport seemed always to be brilliant on the service side. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
