France 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Narvik Black

Having done the back brakes I did the front ones yesterday. At MOT in January I was told the front pads had 8,000 miles left in them. I am off to France this month so decided to do them. I wonder why LR do not fit pad wear warning wires...maybe it's just something else to go wrong but below is a pic of one of the pads I took out.

I fitted Ford pads as I can get a good discount from where I used to work but I fitted Pagid discs from Europarts and was impressed with them. They are the type that are covered with silver paint stuff which wears off where the discs rub but leaves the other exposed parts of the disc protected.

BTW I changed the discs because they were badly corroded although the outside face looked OK. You have to take the calliper or the disc off to see what nasties are going on with the inner hidden side. John
