Belgium 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black
Frond side lights on

Hi All,

New here on the forum! I'm from Belgium and have a FL2 (of course..) from 2010.
It's an HSE model with the SD4 engine. Super!

Now, I would like to have daytime running lights. But want them to NOT BE LED.
The front side lights would have been great to have turned on always, but without the main headlights.

Is this possible? So, or: open doors, front side lights on, or: key in ignition/starting/.. and these lights go on.
My switch for the main lights is always on 'auto'. If i'm correct the scandinavian option will turn on the front side lights but in my case will also always turn on the main headlights to? Maybe another option? Some wiring, relais stuff?

Thx al lot!!!

ps: next thing I'm going to look at: sat nav (well.. works good but.. don't really understand why they didn't made it more integrated? Would be nice to have some more ICE on it. Somebody used an Alpine vehicle hub of similar?) and rear camera. First thought of make parking sensors visible on the screen but think this is impossible?

Hi JST!

Thank you for your fast response.

De GVIf looks good. Also found another similar product on the website. Also named "Car GVIF Video Interface for Land Rover / Range Rover" but it's a black one. Status says discontinued but in the spec list i find "•PDC Screen available".
Does the white version also suport this, or any idea why the black edition is no longer in sale?

thx you!

United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4_e XS Manual Lago Grey

as for the drls you can have these switched on by your dealer via the control unit on the car ask the dealer to turn the lights to Scandinavian setting this will put the head and all the side lights on after the engine has started but the dash lights will still be switched off until you switch them on by the light switch auto mode will do this as normal Thumbs Up rainy-city

Hi bigalf

Thx for the info.

But would have liked to have ONLY the side lights on. Not the headlights.
If it really isn't possible, is it also possible for the xenon to be dimmed?

grtz!
