Auto dimming interior mirror fitting

Has anybody retro fitted an auto dimming mirror to a GS? They are not standard fit to this model so is the wiring loom fitted with the plug connector and does the canbus need updating?

I retrofitted one to my 07XS. The connector block was already on the car - red I seem to recall. I suggest you pop off the black surround/cover (behind the mirror) and have a look on yours to be sure you have the same. No software update needed for it to work perfectly on mine - just pug 'n' play Thumbs Up

Close lol

Fitted one to my old gs and my 2012 gs ! All you have to do is

- take off the 2 cliped bits of plastic
- twist the mirror gently anti clockwise a quater of a turn
- wire is already sitting in place so plug in the new one and stare re-assembly

Works a treat Thumbs Up

Only slight thing to mention is a relay is supposed to make sure it doesnt dim when you put in reverse but i havent seen this as an issue Smile

That's better, stick to pictures, you can't spell those incorrectly Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Even with the factory tints, I still drop the mirror, might keep an eye out for an auto dimming one.

Boys, where did you get hold of the auto-dimming mirror? Smile Any tips appreciated... It's never too late to learn something new...
