I had tints done on my FL2.1 and have factory tints on my FL2.2

Yes you can tell the difference but not so much as to not bother getting them, your only real difference is that the rear elements are more visable, i had no blurry vision looking through them or anything like that

My dads just took delivery a little while ago of his new RX450h Lexus and he opted for black metalinc, the rear windows and rear quarter lights have black tints, but the rear windows have tints that appear purple, not black and that stands out like a sore thumb Shocked Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

i suppose its all down to preferance but after now having factory fitted tints i will never go back to aftermarket ones again i guess the good thing is you can remove them if required but its a bit of a job to do i would contact your local dealer and see who thay use and befour you part with the cash view the work and see what warranty you get with the propper tints there is no distorted vision Thumbs Up rainy-city

BigAlf,I did research alot before I chose the people to carry out the work on my vehicle and that is why I chose the firm I did even though it involved a 80 mile round trip to get them done.
I would not question whether after market compared to OEM but if you have the car without the tints and then you want them done the best thing to do is exactly what Annie did, get advice from people that have had it done and then make sure you know what the differnces are and whether it's worth it. I agree with NPinks in that mine are not blury and you can see the heater element in the rear window, though whether Joe Public would look for the difference is another matter. In short, if you want tints and you ain't got them at delivery get good aftermarket. Deal with life as it is not as you would wish it to be! Sad Ralph

Too right Ralph. I think well fitted tints are better than no tints at all and at the moment, i dont have tints.

I must be in the minority though as i like the very dark drug dealer look

Annie, if you move your mouse over the members location just below their avatar, the one's in bold type have set it on the map. Just click your mouse and the wonderment of their location (those who have set it) will give you the info. Thumbs Up
and obviously the 'Members Map' at the top of the page shows everyone who has set it up.

Annie - NP is in Leeds quite close to me.
There's a place for window tints near us in Otley - Leeds where I had mine done and very highly recommended Thumbs Up (Pics in my gallery), but sadly it's a long way from you Big Cry . But maybe worth a drive - drop me a line if you want the contact details.
