Yorkshire rights of passage

The controversial BBC4 Peak District Thread got me thinking of Mastiles Lane ( from Kilnsey to Malham Tarn in the Yorkshire Dales ) this used to be open to traffic but the damage caused led to a vehicle ban, you can still walk or ride (on a cycle) it, and its a route worth taking.

Now there is a lot of Yorkshire members on this forum and thinking of Mastiles Lane and the Dales in general and given how we live in Gods County and are all proud to do so and love to tell people how privileged we are to live here, I thought I would start a list of must does for a Yorkshire man.

1. Walk the 3 peaks
2. Ascend Ilkley Moor preferably baht hat.
3. Walk round Spurn Point

Any more must does ?

other counties are available What if there were no hypothetical situations?

That particular "Yorkshire Right of Passage" is more accurately stated as never buy a round of drinks.

There was one who was both - a Lancastrian and a Yorkist - addressed as the "Bastard of Fauconberg" and I'd wager that he didn't buy a round before he died, or, left the funds to pay for one after he died! Definitely not a sweet smelling rose of any colour.

At other times he's recalled as being Thomas Neville aka Thomas of Falconbridge.
