Just a thought, a couple of facelift bumpers on eBay have their washer jets included

Have you checked if yours did? Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

It did and they are black - hence why I started this thread. My question has been: once taken off can their innards be removed to allow a professional re-spray in same body colour as the bumper is going to be re-sprayed. Natalie didn't have any Ipanema Sand MY2011 bumpers.

Problem solved - by the Fat One

Nick at Yeovil LR just confirmed to me that I can buy Ipanema Sand Coloured Coded Headlamp Washer Covers. Now ordered. And no need to paint the black one's or fiddle around with their innards. Thumbs Up

Thought the washer covers were for the RRS D3 which I believe have different shaped washer jets

The washer jets between the cars have different part numbers and look different, if they are indeed FL 2 ones I might be interested in a set of Alaska cream ones Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

athelstan,

How much were they and do you have the part number? Want to match the mirror caps and door handle skins on mine if possible.

Thanks! Thumbs Up

The washer jet covers have individual part numbers for both left and right washers, and furthermore, they have individual part numbers for the different MY2011 body colours. Contact Nick at Yeovil LandRover Parts Department - Google their website and you'll see his 'phone and email contact details. Tell him the man in Switzerland sent you.

Re door handle painted covers - not available from MY2011. However you may be able to find a set of colour coded handles from LR as they used to do this - but no more. I see you have one of those Stornoway Grey non-colours, oh well, but sometimes fortune shines on the dull as the design and fit of the door handles has not changed since MY2006:

Original LR Body Coloured Door Handle Kit - Stornoway Grey Part No: LR006945. Nick may still be able to get you these. Or if not one of the many third party retailers sometimes sell them off on ScumBay. Good hunting. Try Nick first - I've found him extremely helpful Thumbs Up

athelstan,

I managed to order a pair of Stornoway Grey washer covers on the assumption that they would just fit over the black washer unit (a bit like the colour coded upper mirror caps that I have) but after getting them it seems that they don't - they either replace the black unit or I need a different black inner unit for the cover to clip onto (like the two piece door handles I have where the inner black handles replace the one piece larger original ones). Have you got yours yet and how easy is it to remove the washer units - I usually manage to break things first time Embarassed ?

For info: Part No.'s for the Stornoway Grey covers: LR022138 & LR022151 (£15 + VAT)

The one's Nick supplied are in England (I'm in CH) so I cannot look at them. They will be fitted on October 19th when the MY2011 front bumper is fitted to her Ladyship's FL2. As that bumper is MY2011 and the covers are MY2011 I would expect that there should not be a problem fitting these covers. I'll let you know.

Re the screen washer units. They are very easily removed, but to do so, you must have access to the rear of the bumper unit to release the clips that hold the complete black housing onto the bumper. Then the tops come off the front of the bumper and the feed pipes etc., drop out the back.
