It's hard to tell, it still had the long plastic strips over it, just not the plug in the hole, it was a little rusted around the edges though!

yes, I've heard that, irony is I was going to hold off fitting the new roof rails until I solved the 'whistle'....might never have found the problem Smile

I'll check it, I was reading elsewhere that I can tape it up on the outside with masking tape to see if it's the problem...
