 Has anyone fitted Steel wheels?

How can they supply a wheel that the nuts don't fit securely?
Can't see any manufacturers doing that, it's a mega claim just waiting to happen.
I'd say that it's because the tyre size is not identic ...

Got it doing 42mpg on a quiet Sunday morning A and B roads drive. Pretty reasonable for an Sd4.

this was left next to my radiator in my shed, which is run by diesel fuel burning heater from a Rover 75

That sounds like an interesting set up. Any pictures or details of how you did that?

Never seen or heard of such a Freelander 2. Unless some enthusiastic owner has retro fitted it?

Seems strange that Sport mode is more economical? Holding onto gears longer and changing at higher revs does not logically equate with better mpg.

All the maintenance I've done to my Freelander is handwritten in the back pages of my Haynes manual, every oil change, brake pads, haldex service, timing belt etc.
