Well I've got them and fitted them and so far very pleased , I got them from roofrack.co.uk and they were listed as returns in their bargain basement, they were £124.90 plus postage including the fitting kit, they were as new and unmarked, they said that the returns are normally due to people ordering the wrong bits. The sunroof works fine with them fitted and they seem pretty quiet so far. When they arrived the fitting kit was sealed but one of the bits was wrong, I phoned the roofrack company up and I had the right bit the next day.

The Whispbars look absolutely great !!
Does everything fit neatly?
Do You have a detailed picture of the clips mounted on the rubber door seals?
Is there is any friction between the doorpaint or the cars exterior paint?

In any case, they look much more streamlined than conventional systems.

There is clearance between the clamp and the door when closed and the clamp has a protective clear rubber protection pad which is adjusted so it just touches the the edge of the bodywork above the door.

Hi again Vectis,

It became the "Flush bars" here.
I've already took them on a trip to the italian Dolomites.
They are indeed much quiter then the original LR roofbars, and the Thule racks i've had before on my other cars.
I did like the Thule clamps a little more, but over all, the dynamic preformance of the Whispbars is way better.
Recommendable !

I have had the LR roof rails fitted from new and have not noticed excessive wind noise (but then i am slightly deaf....and seldom travel above 85 mph) i think they look a lot better than after market roof bars. True you have to buy cross bars to fit a roof box......I have to make the decision as to whether to remove and refit when i trade in or bite the bullet and buy new, it will depend on the labour cost negotiated as part of the deal....... Upgraded to an ex demo, 7 mth old, Rimini Red/Ebony Napoli Auto HSE on 28th Jan 2011, added roof rails, mudflaps and side strips.
Gone - A great 57 Plate, Auto SE, Bought Feb 2009, Roof Rails and Mudflaps added on purchase. Blue colour, anything but drug dealer black.....

I have just purchased a set of ProRack Roof Bars which look fantastic. However, they have been a nightmare to fit as the brackets seem to make contact with the tops of the doors when fitted. Previously I have tried a Thule roofrack and the brackets which clamp to the roof look completely different (as you would expect from a different manufacturer) but they seem to match the profile of the roof better. I'll check with the supplier to make sure that I've been supplied the right brackets. They are K455 which seems to be right but the brackets themselves have a number 609 on them. Is there anyone out there who has had the same problem?

I am thinking about going for this kit as well.

The brackets do seem to be _extremely_ close to the tops of the doors. I have the kit described above.

This was my first fitting to head north for Easter. I may try and adjust the fitting to see if I can improve the situation.

Bars do look great, but I'd like a bit more confidence before I'm completely happy.

I had the flush fit bars delivered and fitted them yesterday. I'm really pleased with the aesethtics of this system. Looks much nicer than OEM rails IMHO. I went for a drive today and in absolute honesty I couldn't hear anything unusual even at 70-80mph!!
Now I can't compare them to any other bars because these are the first ones I've used but I'm impressed.
If anyone's interested I'll add a couple of pics.
For reference the parts I have are S7 bars and K455 fit pack.

I have a set of Whispbars for sale - flush fit S7 and 455 footpack, but I cant advertise them yet as I havent made 25 posts. So this one counts as number 3 I think! I bought them recently on ebay, hadnt considered thattheymight be too wide fr my roof box fittings - they are! Shame because they look fab, and get great write up on here. So please ask me loads of questions so that I can get my post numbers upped in order to list them!
