Dealer accessories

any good dealers that will offer a decent discount on accessories.

I'm going to add

Front and rear lamp guards

Roof bars and cross bars

Audio connect module for ipod

front and rear sill tread plates

19" triple sport alloys side steps and side body mouldings.

Need to find out if they will be available from launch. Anyone know.?? Fiona

I think Nick at Yeovil will be a good start.

Isn't the audio connect a standard feature ..? I'm reading that as 'auxiliary audio jack' which according to the mini brochure I have is standard on all models.

the Aux port is standard but it only allows for you to plug the ipod in using a jack plug and it will not charge your ipod etc etc etc.

audio connect options is more along the lines of ice link. Fiona

yes, but car manufacturers do like to market it as 'iPod Integration' Wink

Works very well in the D3 except for the audio input is not balanced. So volume levels are very low. Cured by turning up the volume of course but leaves the other modes VERY loud if you forget.

Maybe be better in Freelander 2 though.

Do you really want all that apple rubbish (only kidding) if I knew what you were talking about maybe I could understand why the CD auto changer playing mp3 tracks is not enough.

Having a decent menu system to find what you want to play is very nice... and you see what the track name is, artist etc etc.

The CD player in the D3 is limited in this respect. Maybe the Freelander has a better system.

To be honest they could easily integrate it with the sat nav like TomTom do. Full artist, genre, search facility right on the touch screen. It would not take much at all.

The FFRR is all on the sat nav screen which is the same as D3 RRS and now FL2

So you get a full menu of the tracks listed by artist, album etc etc from the MP3 CD or iPod ??

Thats cool if you do. I thought the D3 sound system just presented a folder hierarchy on the head unit ?

Fancy a body kit?

Not my cup of tea, but some interesting pictures of a FL2 with full body kit can be found at
