TdV6 Sport. Local dealer has loaned me there demo Td4 Hse in Black with the grey alloys and almond interior. I like it so far... Will I miss the slightly bigger Sport. It is a farm truck to so I'm not looking at any other make. I do miss my disco 3 but fuel consumption was pretty dire also. Not willing to pay the price for lower spec D4, though may go for one of last build D3 Hse which can be had at reasonable money. Don't want anything less than HSE. Real reason is my RRS is almost out of its 12 month second hand warranty. Should I wait for D4s to come down in value and stomach the running costs. All question I know... Sorry Guys !!! |

If it was a TDV8 I would have said not in a million years. I would love one of those (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

One month after changing RRS 2.7V6 for my 3rd FL. Golf clubs are a bit tight in the fl2 and the poke is a bit down and I miss a few bells such as cornering lights; voice activation (my armpits!) and the air suspension for towing twin-axle chicken coops.

Did anything need repairing during the 12 month warranty on your Range Rover sport? Stornaway grey SE auto with 18" alloys |

Get the dealer to loan you a SD4 rather than the TD4 - the SD4 has more grunt! |

Sorry Guys having tried the FL2 even for a short period of time, it just isn't in the same league as the Disco or RRS. Though it is a huge improvement on the original FL1. It just looks like when funds allow it will be a D4. |

it's not in the same league that's why it is cheaper to buy and cheaper to run. if I could afford it I would have a Range Rover or a Disco 4, but I can only afford a FL2. and if I could afford a Range Rover I wouldn't be moaning about mpg or running costs, or even looking at a FL2. Iain |

You shouldn't even have been contemplating between a FL2 and Disco or RRS, they're completely different animals and aimed at different clientèle with a different purpose and snob value. |

we were looking to hold out for the Disco 4 in late 2009 as our "family car" i.e her pottering around during the week and then for us all to use at the weekend for camping, long trips etc etc.
