Why haven't we got this in Oz.. or have we?

Hi guys,

I recently bought an I6 HSE and I came across a YouTube thread of someone showing the interior of their HSE in the UK (not sure what year).

I noticed that they had a clock on the console panel:

and also I spotted a nifty looking metal box with a sliding cover which sits at the back of the centre console

Firstly, does anyone in Oz have these and secondly WHY NOT????
I wouldn't mind the metal box thing to be honest!

the clock was a MY2010 add-on, the metal (or silver plastic) was also an edition from MY2010 IIRC

The clock can not be updated, but some have added the sliding cover part (there is a thread on here about it) Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
