Vauxhall will have to start designing and screwing there cars together better...we took an insignia apart at uni a couple of months back doing some facelift work on it and it pretty much falls apart in your hands! Along with panels not fitting straight...shut lines huge in places and not in others etc!

That is the biggest load of Censored I have heard in years. The Insignia is a better built cvar than the FL2, I have both so have experience in both.

The panel gaps on my Insignia are perfectly uniform all round the car. Your comment to be honest is completely unfounded.

What 'Facelift' work were you doing. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Commisioned by Vauxhall. My uni does alot of work with GM in Germany. I've also just finished doing an interior concept for them where they agreed with us about improving quality

Check out the size difference where yourfront doors meet the dash. Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

Vauxhall don't make bad motors at all, but their problem is they are tarnished with a bad name. Manufacturers such as Kia, Hyundai & now Vauxhall have to keep offerring incentives to boost sales. Ask someone whether they would rather have a Vauxhall Antara, Hyundai Santa Fe, a Kia Sportage, or a Freelander 2, and I practically guarantee what the answer would be, regardless of warranty............ Thumbs Up Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass

My Astra head gasket exploded when I was at college. It was on the M1 and I had to pull over, onbolt the washer tank and pour the water into the expansion tank to get home. Worked though.

Mind you I did drive it like a Censored Laughing Laughing

My grandad's just sold his 1996 P38 4.6litre Range Rover, without ever having a single fault.

Just to clarify I never compared Vauxhall's quality with Land Rovers, just merely mentioned that if they want to introduce a 10 year warranty, it wouldn't be sustainable with these quality cars at this price range, which I believe to be true. Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

Q5 - no thanks! It looks like a Q7 with growth issues. I'm really pleased with my baby landy. However, If I had the money to buy and run a one, I'd definitely get a D4 HSE over all the rivals Thumbs Up

Back to topic - good luck to Vauxhall. I think they sell some good looking motors, such as the Insignia, Astra and the Corsa (for a small car at least). As for the remainder of their vehicles.............each to their own I guess Whistle Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass

LDV put a 100 000 mile warranty on their Sherpas, but it only lasted one year!

The question is not whether the car will last 10 years but will Vauxhall (General Motors) survive 10 years. They just scraped themselves out of chapter 11 bankruptcy with a huge wedge from the US government but they are not out of the woods by any means. I wouldn't bet on them existing in 10 years in which case any 10 year warranty will be worth about as much as a used piece of my toilet paper Shocked
