United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

IF the fan works anything like the Discovery, which I imagine it does as most cars do now, the fan isn't driven by a belt...if you're going to take the top off your airbox just bare this in mind, you can't disable the fan! Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35
Family's: 2009 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Auto, Stornoway

Thanks for all the replies. It looks like the "creek" is now going down after 3 months. It was apparently about 30 km wide at one stage.

In our part of the world "creeks" are usually little things, much smaller than "rivers". But in the Outback, where the rivers run into the desert and disappear, it works in reverse. We have two systems where two rivers join to form a 'creek'.

But when there are big summer, monsoon rains in Queensland and the Northern Territory the rivers continue to flow for months. Summer rain goes down the rivers and about 3 or 4 months later the water reaches the inland deserts and gives rare water to places lake Lake Eyre, a lake which has only filled a few times since European settlement. This year is one of those years.
