2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e S Manual Stornoway Grey

Crikey, looks just like a Freelander 2! Would prefer it with body coloured bumpers though and you're gonna have trouble seeing out the back with all that stuff over the rear window!

Why drive around "apparently" road testing a few minor styling modifications? Marketing, I guess. Come on, it's hardly a new model. I bet that folks cover their whatevers with black bin bags just to get snapped Laughing

Looks like a slightly new grill, and a possible vent in the bumper, like the RR Sport

Unless it's got some engine tweaks.

But yes, it's all marketing, if they didn't want to be seen, they'd do it at a secret location, as they have done until now.

I would agree with the possibilty of engine tweaks - possibly "greener" without a loss of bhp. But it's the same lump, I'm sure. This upgrade has been in the pipeline way before the recent upsurge in sales figures so it should be a standard "prettying up" of the current model. The FL has always been different from the other Land Rovers because of the upswept grille/nose/front and I think that this is it's weakest point. They won't change it this time (at least) as it really would dent Disco sales. Everyone loves the FL2 because it's the "affordable" Land Rover which actually feels like a baby RR , but they have to make it just that little bit imperfect Cool

UB, personally I would wait as you'll be only a month or so from the new model. It looks like grille to match RR Sport, new bumpers and probably new colour coding on the bootlid etc. The interior will be the bug improvement.

Roll your order, but dealers won't 'know' anything about it yet officially. So have an off the record chat.

Doesn't look like a massive change, will it be Freelander 3 on the back, I recon so.

It won't be Freelander 3 on the back, Freelander 3 is due in 2013.

The 2011MY will be Freelander 2 with new bumpers lights and a general midlife spruce up. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

I've heard my from my dealer that the alterations really are mild cosmetic ones BUT that there wil be a power loss on the 2.2 Diesel Sad
Can anyone verify this ?

So do I - makes no sense although the dealer said it was being done for Ecological reasons ??
I see from your signature that you're missing the Disco 3.
I'm actually mulling over either buying the FL2 or a second hand Disco3 or RRSport. Any thoughts ?

I have heard the same 150bhp but with more torque and faster gears so no difference to current 160bhp Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
