Portugal 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Tambora Flame
Audio quality diminished

Hi all,

Today I pick my HSE TD4 from the dealer after 70000km interval service and PTC recall.
Apart from the regular service, I ask them to check why the ipod connector (in the glove box) doesn't show track names on the head unit (Alpine dolby pro-logic).
They upgrade the audio software but they hadn't been successful to resolve the ipod issue.

But now, the audio quality is worse than before.
It lack's bass and POWER. To achieve the same level than before, I have to turn the volume to almost 20 position.
The speakers are all functioning even the subwoofer.

Any one experience the same?
What's happening?

Monday morning I have to speak with the dealer! Damn

You don't get track details on the screen, never have, your dealer should have known that Rolling Eyes

Could be the settings have been reset back to factory and need reseting Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

To select the Dolby pro-logic (or 3 channel) press the Tone button (the one with a musical note on it), then turn the left knob, and you can select the dolby/3-channel/2-channel options. Regrettably I didn't know about that for 18 months, it makes a huge difference! Freelander 2 TD4 HSE auto Tonga Green/Alpaca

I already knew that, thanks

The problem is now the sound lack's presence. I have to turn to the MAX treble, bass and almost subwoofer.
And with the volume on 12th position, it seems a battery operated radio... Mad
The sound become "decent" only at volume 18/20 and up. 2007' Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Tambora Flame

Hi
Has the volume offset setting changed. With Aux selected press the menu button. Then select Aux settings. Next select Aux input volume. On the volume offset display is the setting negative or set to minimum? If so, use the volume control knob to increase the offset to a positive setting. This should improve the volume.
