Just be careful stradling two car parking bays, just today I did this in my local town multi storey car park only to return to find a fixed penalty attached to the windscreen. The ironic thing is the car parking was virtually empty and was free to park today except its now going to cost me £50 or £25 if I pay up within 14 days. Robbing bas?a?ds!! Big Cry

I would challenge that Vespa. If it was free parking then the council/company that runs the carpark has not lost any revenue so they might find it difficult to enforce. ______________________

Some t Censored t managed to put a huge dint the passenger door on ours when it was only a couple of momths old Sad unfortunately (or fortuntely from their point of view) I didn't see who did it.

Cue repair bill from dealer.

In Coventry where I am at the moment it's scary to look around and look at the state of cars, standard of driving, and the people that drive cars for that matter.

There's a black M5 kicks about the pinging it's nackers off constantly, driven by a hoodie who can barely see over the steering wheel, and it's got loads of bumps grazes dints etc. If people spending this much on cars don't care, what hope have the minority that look after them got?! Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

A suggestion culled from the D3 boys for this problem, is to get the car really really dirty, not just a bit grubby but good quantities of mud all down the side. They may have no respect for your property but they hate getting their Burburry mucky.

Thanks Dave. Thumbs Up
It was a council run car park and I have just sent them a long email rant along those lines you suggest.

Surely he was parked in marked spaces - two to be precise !

Possible defence would be the car next to you was over the line and you were forced to do likewise obviously he had left prior to the ticket being issued Twisted Evil

I would also check for signage warning of liability of penalty no notice puts you in a strong position

Some t?*t has put a dent in the rear o/s door while the wife had the car yesterday (she didn't even notice it which is no surprise) fortunately the paint hasn't been damaged (cue dent wizard I think). I couldn't beleive it, the car isn't even a month old, and yes she has now had the lecture on how and where to park next time!

Some good news though - Had the parking ticket retracted (after some lengthy arguements).

Why don't they just make the spaces bigger ? The only place where i use "normal" spaces is Costco, as they have toms of room either side of the parking bay.

Personally i think they should put extra wide bays at the far end of the carpark as these are little used anyway and would at least give the option to those that want it.
