Scotland 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Fuji White
LR latest "economy" drive

Just ordered new GS auto for 1st March. L/Rovers new way to help FUEL economy is to lighten vehicle by NOT fitting a spare wheel, inflation kit only. L/Rover helping own economy drive by charging £180 for a spare.
Fortunately local dealer ordered all his stock vehicles with full size alloy spare which at £180 is a lot less than buying a new wheel and tyre at a later date.
Still think it is pretty poor to sell a real 4x4 without a spare Exclamation Exclamation especially if like me you are off road at weekends and miles from home.

When I bought first FL2 I bought 4 SE wheels/tyres on ebay so have always had a full size spare. All FL2's (3) Gone
2011 Mercedes C180 CGI Gone
FL2 GS Auto SD with heated leather, factory tints, alloy spare and a few other bits.

It's B/S for a 4x4 not to have a spare, LR what the hell are you thinking?

It's a scam,
It's not as though they are short of spare alloys is it....the market is flooded with em.

Basically A 'STEALTH' charge to put a couple of hundred quid on the purchase price as almost every buyer will, I should imagine will be talked in to accessorising with a Spare wheel.

United Kingdom 2015 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Santorini Black

When I collected mine from the dealer on Nov 28th the salesman said that mine was one of the very last to have the spare wheel. He also said the audio sockets on the rear of the centre console were being deleted too. Seems as though Landrover's ties to Rover are still there as that is what happened to them in the latter years!! They think people are silly & don't notice it = bad mistake!! (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.
(Past) RR Evoque Dynamic Lux Si4 In Firenze Red.
(Past) RR Evouque Pure Tech in Barollo Black with bespoke Firenze Red colour coding.
(Present) Freelander Metropolis 2015 MY In Santorini Black with Ivory Premium Leather.

I was a good RAV customer until they started playing silly B-----s with spare wheels and no cruise except top spec.

The top spec T180 on run flats, for first year you had to get a service wheel from dealer while own was repaired in Belgium Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

later all dealers had to buy a tyre change machine from Bridgestone ( NO other machines fit this wheel) at a price of £20,000 yes 20k. Guess cost of a puncture plus most times also a new cushion ring at £120. OH Exclamation forgot the fee for resetting the computer for low tyre pressure.

LR not so bad after all Thumbs Up All FL2's (3) Gone
2011 Mercedes C180 CGI Gone
FL2 GS Auto SD with heated leather, factory tints, alloy spare and a few other bits.
