Just done a LRE in the new RRS

amazing 3.0 engine in them now and the camera system I'd great too wish we could get it in the FL2 and a good towing setting which you let the car know what your towing, so it can adjust to the different way in which a caravan or a horsebox would behave Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

yes the course is ok.

you'll drive a road course first, showing you the handling on road, then they take you off road on a section where the car will be on 2 wheels, tilting sideways and you'll have a big grin on your face.

The then take you to a section of up/down hills showing hill decent, Gradient release, traction with loss of grip etc

I have been on 3 of them now, great fun for a free half day Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

This sounds like fun. I received another invitation today, I need to book within 28 days. I have a couple of questions:

1. Are we not supposed to only go in one? How come you have been on three and they send me a second one already?

2. Where should I have this second half day? Same place or somewhere else?

Many thanks!

i keep getting them when i either, enter a LR competition or login in to LR website and change my profile to say when i think i am changing car etc

don't think you need to use them straight away either, yes book it, normally you can book 2 months in advance, then call them back, 7 days before your due to go and reschedule, upto 2 months in advance

Yopu can do this 3 times, Which is what i did to get past when the new RRS/D4 was launched as LRE normally get them straight away

I just need to blag another 2, one for the D4 and i might as well have a go in a defender too then i have played in all the LR brands, then it will be time for the LRX Laughing Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

England 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

Got mine on 23rd January at Eastnor Castle. Cool

The FL2 wasn't available, so I've gone for the RR TDV8 instead. Should be a giggle.

January 12th at Dunkeld Perthshire and looking forward to it.
Have driven through forrest stages close by on Mcrae Stages Rally, it was very wet and muddy, FL2 Auto did very well. Sixty plus off road miles that day trying to stay 1 hour ahead of first car.

Thumbs Up All FL2's (3) Gone
2011 Mercedes C180 CGI Gone
FL2 GS Auto SD with heated leather, factory tints, alloy spare and a few other bits.

United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Rimini Red

Got an Experience Day booked in Feb at Coniston (no holidays left so had to wait for new holiday year at work).
Decided on new D4 as expect this to be more likely to get an adventerous instructor ??

Just got a letter through from LRE offering an upgrade to Level 1 or Level 2 - full day course for an additional payment discounted to £99.

Has anyone had any 'experience' of these add ons - are they worth the extra? Question There's always a way forward!

2008 Freelander Td4 GS - Stornoway Grey - Now Gone - Sob
2011 Freelander Td4 GS 150 - Rimini Red - in its place - Better x far x 4!!
