Failing Parking Sensors Poll

Have you had a failed parking sensor when the FL2 is subjected to rain or snow

if you have AND have had the car looked at by a dealer, did they manage to fix it, fault returned

please also post in the thread what the fix was or wasn't

Sorry only one vote allowed

Reversing Sensors Poll

Nick,

Thanks for taking up my suggestion of a poll/mass complaint.

My FL2 has all the faults listed in the various threads on this matter but Conwy Land rover would not look at it because I had a non LR tow-bar fitted and they said that it was a tow-bar wiring fault, which is why this pole will be so useful to use as a lever to get them to do something about it.
Having said that judging by mcphersonstrut's experience it would appear that only a direct approach to Very Senior Management at LR is going to get a solution to this problem.

Just had a thought that if forum members could also approach other FL2 owner when they see them parked in a supermarket car parks etc and ask if they have experienced this problem. Be careful how you do it though or you could get your face slapped.

It may be a help to some Rolling Eyes if the beep tone could be changed for a voice tone thats get more intence the closer you get to an object Thumbs Up

You could have a womans voice at the front saying: bit closer darling, not too close now, thats close enought sweety etc.
At the rear you could have a guys voice saying: Mind your ass mate, back off, stop etc.

In that way nobody could possibly get confused Thumbs Up

My reversing warning beep is sometimes an annoying continuous tone. Only had my XS a week so not sussed the failure patterns yet but presume it's a water ingress problem. Stops when I press the sensors "off" button.

Will raise with dealer next week, and provide feedback
