United Kingdom 2015 Freelander 2 SD4 SE Auto Orkney Grey
Sticking Wing Mirror

Driver side mirror struggled to retract on closing the car. Liberal spray of silicone oil only partially helped. Search on site revealed a post from 2011 which recommended holding the mirror assembly and pushing it toward the front of the car. This exposed a pad which I sprayed with silicone and returned the assembly to its normal position. Success, so repeated on passenger side. I guess the assembly dries out with time. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.
