It Will Come In Handy - 'One Day?'

Following from admissions from Forum Members about some odd items stored in a recent thread, I thought it might be interesting to see what we could come up with if the (unlikely) Emergency need occurred. And, of course why you have kept it!

Below is my contribution.
On top of the cupboard in my garage resides this Triumph Dolomite Sprint Cam Cover complete with Camshaft, Rockers and Head Gasket. These are what is left of the engine which overheated in a big way whilst being driven by my wife. I am sure that she did make the most of its power and speed and reported that she put the heater on full when she noticed the 'Hot Smell'. (She says that she learnt the trick from me!)
The parts got parted from the rest of the Sprint as it went into the garage for a factory Recon Engine, I guess that I sent the warped Cylinder Head in together with the rest of the engine as it was as good as scrap.
I had originally thought that I could get away with just changing the Head Gasket, and I think I tried a recon Head.

The Sprint has long gone to a new home in Scotland, so I think I hang on to this for sentimental reasons, as it was a great car.
(although, as I have said on this Forum before, the FL2 SD version has the same top speed and acceleration as this 1970 classic)

PS for those too young to remember, the Sprint was was powered by a 2 Ltr 16v Engine but only had one camshaft - hence the shaft with followers.
