With your model because you do not insert the fob it is not charged up so you will have to replace the battery every so often, I find with mine about every 18 months but it depends on your usage. If you do have two keys remember to switch between the them. MY13 HSE Lux Santorini Black

I have a suspicion that the FL2 sometimes 'remembers' faults.

I did have a fob that was flattening batteries within 2 weeks. Went through about half dozen batteries. LR replaced the electronics (was still within warranty).
