Florence has her cateracts done (HEADLIGHT BULBS REPLACED)

Well I’ve finally found a solution that I’m happy with re candle powered headlights.
I’ve been trolling the forum looking at other’s comments and have just fitted a pair of these.

Wow what a difference, very even spread of light with no dark patches.

I tried a few LEDs in the past and they all had fuzzy beam patterns with good near brightness but poor long range brightness compared to HIDs
But it looks like designs have improved - well done - good price too.

Some pics would be great Jules

Let us know how you get on at MOT time.
My wife's VW Eos failed with LED bulbs fitted, even though the beam pattern was identical to the normal bulbs the replaced.
According to my MOT tester, LEDs will fail regardless of headlamp design (her Eos has projector lamps and headlamp washers) as the bulbs have to match what the headlamp sticker shows. I said what if the stickers aren't there? He suggested that the vehicle would fail anyway, as a 2009 vehicle didn't leave the factory with LED headlamps. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

I suppose one could simply put the old bulbs back in for the MOT or find a more sympathetic MOT tester. Jules

That's what I did, while I was at the MOT station.
Finding a more sympathetic tester is an option, but I used to work with mine in a previous garage, and he still failed it. The law is the law I guess. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

I'll stick with my Stealth HiD conversions. Been through 2 successful MOTs and more than pleased with their performance. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

I’m tempted as the halogens are b awful when the lenses are dirty in the winter - but what’s that 2 pin connector? 154k miles from new!
