L/hand Front Door Lock Replacement

Hi all, the front left hand door lock is playing up and will not unlock, anybody on here replaced one? the part number I have is LR091527, loads on ebay at various prices so far not been able to find one at main dealers, is it worth risking one of the ebay items or paying the probable hefty price from the main dealers?
Any help on this will be much appreciated.
Cheers
Moe

Hi,
I fitted a used actuator for the o/s/r door nearly 2 years ago now and its been fine, you never really know what your going to get life span wise from a s/h unit but its been good value at £25

Thumbs Up .
my first ever FL2 and I did keep it longer than most other cars!
But its now gone way up Norf

Have you tried the independent suppliers Moe?
here's one for example https://www.island-4x4.co.uk/door-latch-fr...36038.html
OK not a genuine part , but this company have been trading for years
also of course this forum has sponsors ie.
Duckworths parts and Advanced factors.

Good luck with the repair....it’s a git of a job as there are three cables going to this lock....if you are doing it yourself take your time and use a pick to remove the cable latches...

Trust me after just dislocating my arms and suffering having just changed that one if I had a pick like that I would have used it on the entire car!

Done loads of these on FL2’s and D3’s and providing you take your time and don’t force anything they are relatively straightforward.....however this one was a total Censored presumably because it’s the master lock and has three cables to it all in a totally inaccessible area.... didn’t help that the Torx screw holding the door fitting was the wrong size head that could not be slid through the hole in the door shut... took me 4 hours for an hour job....
