I would take it back. If the steering was to fail again when you were travelling at speed you might not be able to steer away from a potential accident as the steering will be so heavy you will hardly be able to turn the wheel. It could be something simple like a slipping belt or dirty fluid /blocked reservoir filter but you don`t want it happening again so need to get it checked/fixed! Good luck! (Oh and welcome!) |

Sounds like the idler pulley is about to sieze, it will not get better on it's own, and when it fails the belt will shred making steering fun.
