Hi

Te link below shows Land Rovers fixed price menu pricing structure as of Sept 2018, it's quotes £275 for A interim service and £390 for B major service and cam belt change £395 would be interesting to know how many dealers offer these prices.

https://www.landrover.co.uk/Images/RET_L_O...635505.pdf

It's currently advertised for LR dealers in the South West but it does seem to be down to the individual dealer, Bournemouth and Salisbury won't do it for those prices.

Yep, you're right.

Its also showing at 10 years for my vehicle, so assuming that it doesn't need changing twice in 3 years I can only put this down to a cock-up on OSH. Either way, I have messaged CRC for confirmation, as somewhere along the line, they have dropped a clanger. They (the dealer) want even more for the 10 year/120 month service than they do for the 7th, so its possibly an error that the retailer has also overlooked. More when I get it.

Isn't it normal to change the water pump (and therefore coolant) with a cambelt change? I was wondering why neither are listed on the service schedule above.

Good point. I'll bat it back to them when (if) they bother to respond...

Re the fixed price servicing menu for vehicles over 3 years old….

Stafford Land Rover changed my cam belt and tensioner for the £395 listed.

I asked about the water pump and auxiliary belt and they said that they would check these while doing the work and change if needed but they have only changed a Freelander water pump once in 2 years and didn’t expect a problem, especially as my vehicle has only covered 44,000 miles.

Interestingly the auxiliary belt still looked new, as did the replaced cambelt (after 7 years)!

Stafford Land Rover also honoured those listed prices for discs and pads all round, and for the brake fluid change.

PS: The 10 year price probably reflects:

Renew automatic transmission oil - (Every 10 years) Renew power transfer unit oil - (Every 10 years) Renew rear differential oil - (Every 10 years)?
