Rusty wheel locking nuts

I had the wheel locking nutson my fl2 57 replaced about 10 months ago because they had started to rust
now they have started to do the same again.
Now they will probably replace them under warrenty again when i take it in for its recall,
but no doubt they will just do the same again.
i have noticed the RRS have caps on there locking nuts and wondered why the fl2 dosent,
and wondering if it was worth asking for a set of RRS locking nuts and would they fit?
or are there any other soluitions 57 plate, hse stornoway grey with full bodykit, privacy glass, bi-xenon adaptive lights, clear indicators and colour coded door handles (sold now)

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Tambora Flame

mine have done the same, I had them replaced and they have gone rusty again.

I bought a set for the last car for £10 from a little shop and had no problems, very poor in my opinion!

I'll be interested to hear what solution the come up with for you. The future's bright, the future's........Tambora Flame!!! Thumbs Up

Norway 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

Thought mine were rusting last winter so I greased them, which made them look black and gungy in no time. However they cleaned up a treat during the spring clean! No problem this winter so far, but I guess road salt is the main problem Question 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

When we got our LR2 in October the previous owner had kept the locking nut key.... So the dealer changed them for a new set.

These are already showing signs of rusting.

I believe they are made by McGard, judging by the bag the key came in.
